About Our Charms/FAQ's

What are your bracelets made of ?

Like our charms, our bracelets are solid silver. We do not sell any items that are plated.

What attachments do your charms come with ?

All our hanging charms come with sterling silver split and jump ring's so they can be attached to bracelets purchased from either ourselves or any other retailer. Please see our information page on how to attach hanging charms to classic charm bracelets and for further information. Please note: all charms and bracelets ordered together have the option of being made and assembled by us prior to dispatch so there is not need to worry about the different types of attachments.

Can I attach a classic (hanging) charm to my bead bracelet ?

Yes, we have a selection of hanger beads available in our Accessories category that will allow any of our charms to be added to a bead bracelet. Check out more info on the difference between hanging and bead charms in our Bead Vs Hanging Charms section.

How quickly will my order arrive ?

We aim to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible, which is often same day if ordered before 4pm Monday - Friday. UK customers can generally expect delivery in about 1-3 working days. However please see our shipping information page for full details of our various shipping options and delivery times.

Suitability of Charm Bracelets for Children ?

We do not recommend charms or charm bracelets be given to children under 7. Charms and bracelets can be a choking hazard as they comprise of small components. 

How can I place my order?

The best way of placing an order is online. Customers can pay by any credit or debit card through our 128bit secure payment gateway. All payments made by this method are processed by an authorised payment processor - SagePay or Paypal, so customers can be assured their details are in safe hands. All parts of the checkout process are secure and you will be able to see this through a small padlock displayed in your browser.

Customers who would prefer to pay over the phone can reach us on 02033974169 between 9.30-5.30 Monday - Friday.

How do I know my order has been placed?

Once you have completed the order online you will receive a confirmation email. You should always get this email shortly after ordering. If you do not, please check any spam folders as order emails can get caught up by over zealous filtering. Still no luck? Get in touch with our team.

How are your charms finished ?

The images shown on each product page should how each charm will look. The majority of the charms we sell have an lightly antiqued finish. This means the items are not bright white silver. This is a common practice and most charms sold have this finish. We have a small selection of charms that are plain or bright white silver.

How will my order be packed ?

All charms will arrive with a white The Charm Works pouchIf you order a bracelet, this will be gift boxed and will come with a microfiber cleaning cloth.  

What are your charms made of ?

All our charms and bracelets are made of the highest quality solid sterling silver. The Charm Works is proud to be an assay assured retailer. This is an invite only-scheme operated by the independent assay office in edinburgh who carry out random sample testing and monitor jewellers like us for compliance so that customers can buy with confidence.

Can I cancel/amend an order once it's been placed?

If you wish to make a change to your order such as amend items or delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible so we can make the necessary changes before the order is dispatched. Unfortunately once the order has been dispatched we're unable to change it.

I have a special request regarding my order, how can I let you know?

We will try our best to cater for all customer requests. You are more than welcome to pop a comment in the 'order comments' box at the checkout or send us an email and we will do our very best to meet your needs.

How do I return an item?

It's simple! Just visit the order history page and login to your account. This will allow you to select the items you wish to return. This will only take a couple of minutes and can be from your phone, tablet or computer. We will process your refund as quickly as possible once we have received the goods back.

I am ordering as a gift, will an invoice be included?

As we are paperless, there will be no receipts included inside the package, so you needn't worry if the item is for a gift!
